Looking to earn a few quid Stateside this summer?

If you are one of the thousands of Irish students heading to the United States on a J1 visa this summer and still looking to sort out employment during your visit, then an event in Dublin later this month may well be of interest.

USIT have just announced the final J1 hiring fair in Ireland on Saturday, 24 March in the Gresham Hotel in Dublin, with over 200 roles available from four separate employers in some of the biggest cities in the US (see details below).

New York

NYC Bike Rentals, based in Central Park, have over 30 positions available for the summer months, helping visitors to get the most out of the city.

Boston, New York, San Francisco and Seattle

The Gentle Giant Moving Company is hiring for numerous positions on the East and West Coasts, particularly in Brooklyn and San Francisco.

Chicago

USIT’s largest J1 employer, Hospitality Services Group, came to Dublin a couple of weeks ago and left having hired loads of J1ers to work in the Windy City.

On 24 March, they’ll be looking for another 20 staff for the busy summer period.

Sacramento, California

There are over 100 jobs, based in a sports stadium, up for grabs in the capital of California.

The hiring fair takes place in the Gresham Hotel in Dublin on Saturday, 24 March with individual slots being confirmed for each applicant once they have applied online here.
