JOE and Corona help you Find Your Beach – Surfing in Bundoran

Up this week is JOE and Corona's perfect surfing weekend and we’re making our way to Bundoran, Co. Donegal.

JOE

White sandy beaches, lovely ladies in bikinis and a cool Corona in your hand… the perfect Summer situation.

However, let’s not forget that we are in Ireland after all (not magnificent Mexico), so the chances of all of that happening here are few and far between.

Every week, JOE brings you some brilliant beach ideas that you can try out while the sun still shines. So whether it’s planning an insane weekend with the lads, or an indulgent weekend away with the lady friend, we spread the JOEspiration to help lads Find Their Beach.

It’s all in association with the good people at Corona who are giving away a VIP trip for two to Mexico. To be in with a chance to win, just visit the Corona Facebook page here.

Up this week is our perfect surfing weekend and we’re making our way to Bundoran, Co. Donegal.

Situated on the country’s North-West coast, right on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean, Bundoran is the ideal spot for world-class surfing.

Several local beaches are popular with the surfers, many of whom travel far and wide to experience the ideal conditions and the Donegal hospitality. Tullan Strand in Bundoran is one of the main beaches used in the summer as it nearly always has waves. And, as far as JOE is aware, waves play a pretty crucial role when it comes to surfing.

When the swell is big surfers also sometimes use Rossnowlagh or Streedagh. Rossnowlagh has the most gentle waves but can be exposed to the wind whereas Streedagh has more powerful waves and offers good protection from winds.

The village of Bundoran itself and its surrounding beaches are ideal for large groups and can also accommodate people of varying surfing ability. Again, that reassures this particular JOE as we write this article wearing our little, polkadot arm bands. You can never be too careful.

For all of your Bundoran surfing enquiries head straight to Bundoran Surf Co.

Now that you’re in the mood to go surfing at a beautiful Bundoran beach, you should enter our exclusive Beach Break competition in association with Corona Extra and Corona Light.
