WATCH: This is what it’s like to chill out at Ireland’s first ever Ice Cave

Justine Stafford

An ice surprise for Dublin…

In case you’ve been living under a rock the past few weeks, you’ll already be well aware of the Coors Light Ice Cave which came to chill at the IFSC in Dublin from August 4-10.

So far, it has been a seriously cool few days. (Sorry, we had to include an ice pun).

With over 5,000 attendees coming to chill at the arctic adventure since it’s opening last Thursday, it has definitely made a very ‘ice impression. (Again, we’re sorry.)

Complete with an Ice Bar, individual Igloo Booths, and a big-ass bear statue, visiting the Ice Cave really is like being transported to the South Pole.

Before stepping inside, those lucky enough to get their hands on tickets are kitted out with some slick tinfoil-esque coats to best prepare for the chill that is to come.

Guests are then plummeted into the cave and subjected to freezing temperatures, live DJ sets, and some serious craic.

Check out what we captured during one of the live sets over the weekend…

Over the course of this ice-packed weekend, a host of familiar faces also skated down to experience the pop-up adventure, including the Hardy Bucks themselves, Eddie Durcan and Buzz.

We’ve already given away 10 VIP tickets to the Ice Cave here on JOE and those lucky winners had a very cool experience as they got the chance to experience the craic at the cave on Sunday night.

If you weren’t lucky enough to nab tickets, however, don’t worry –  a limited number of walk up spots may be available throughout the final few days on a first-come, first-serve basis.

This is not a drill guys, so what are you waiting for?

If you’ve got some spare time during these hours, we seriously suggest you get down and try check out this cool experience for yourself.

Or else we’re giving you the cold shoulder. (OK. We’ll leave it at that one.)
