- Caffeine is a key ingredient with unique properties. It penetrates the skin, which means it can get to hair follicles easily and studies have shown that it increases skin hydration.
- Niacinamide (also known as Vitamin B3) is thought to assist in hair strengthening. That allows the skin at the scalp to function better as a barrier, decreasing water loss, which can cause dryness.
- Panthenol is a moisturiser that appears to be able to strengthen hair and works best with caffeine and niacinamide. All three of these ingredients are small molecules, which are able to penetrate the hair to its core.
