This is an event you won’t want to miss.
Following the success of our #JOElive: Mental Health series of talks in May, JOE has teamed up with LYONS Tea supported by Pieta House to bring you #TimeToTalk.
In recent years, JOE has played a leading role in discussing mental health in Ireland – whether it’s the impassioned words of Bressie, the shattering personal stories of people like Mick Finnegan and Cat O Broin, or a heartfelt plea to the government not to cut funding, we’ve been there.
And we will continue to be there.
#TimeToTalk takes place in the Royal College of Physicians on Kildare Street in Dublin on Monday, 10 October (you can sign up to attend for free at the bottom of this article) and features a number of committed, high profile campaigners for better mental health facilities in Ireland.
The night will see a panel discussion with the following speakers…
Blindboy Boatclub from The Rubberbandits
Brian Higgins (below, left), CEO of Pieta House
Donal Scanlan from Mental Health First Aid Ireland
and many more speakers to be revealed…
Following the end of the discussion, a number of breakout sessions will focus on topics as diverse as Understanding Emotions, Stigma (or ‘what we talk about when we talk about mental health’), Budgets and Funding and How To Bring About Change.
To apply for tickets to what will be an incredibly important event, please fill out the following form…
We will contact the successful applicants no later than Friday, 8 October.
LYONS Tea has been at the centre of conversations in Irish households for generations. Many a problem has been shared over a cup of our tea.
That’s why LYONS is delighted to support Pieta House to raise awareness for the services they provide and to get the nation talking about mental health issues.
Pieta House offers free help and support for people experiencing suicidal ideation, suicidal bereavement or engaging in self-harm.
