Nissan unveil the all new Qashqai

Last week we brought you the news that Nissan were preparing to unveil the all-new Qashqai live at a highly anticipated global event. Well, we’ve finally had a look at the new crossover and we have to say, it looks great. Check it out in the gallery above.

The new Nissan Qashqai will be officially unveiled here in Ireland at an Unveil Party in the RDS tomorrow, Tuesday November 12, so we’ll have to wait a little longer to find out some of the finer details.

Ford offers some great deals for their ‘Fordability Fortnight’ campaign

‘Ford-ability Fortnight’… see what they did there? To celebrate the arrival of the new 141 registration, Ford has announced a range of ‘Upgrade Packs’ on several key models to the value of up to €817 for just €141 up until November 30. Here’s a look at what upgrade packs are on offer:

  • On Fiesta Zetec: SYNC and manual air-conditioning for just €141 – a saving of €511.
  • On Fiesta Titanium: SYNC; rear parking sensors; and power-fold mirrors for just €141 – a saving of €441.
  • On B-MAX: SYNC; 15” alloys; front fogs lights; and tailored floor mats for just €141 – a saving of €676.
  • On B-MAX Titanium: SYNC; rear parking sensors; and power-fold mirrors for just €141 – a saving of €426.
  • On Focus Edition: front fog lights; Quickclear heated windscreen; rear parking sensors; and power fold mirrors for just €141 – a saving of €624.
  • On Focus Zetec: cruise control and rear parking sensors for just €141 – a saving of €634.
  • On Focus Titanium: Auto lights, wipers and rear-view dimming mirror – a saving of €109
  • On C-MAX Activ: rear parking sensors; power fold mirrors; and daytime running lights for just €141 – a saving of €343.

Ford is also lowering the price on some key models. The Focus is now available from €19,395, while Ka and Fiesta are priced from €12,525 and €15,550 respectively.  At the higher end of the scale, Mondeo is available from €23,950.

Peugeot announce pricing for the all-new 308

The new Peugeot 308 (check it out in the gallery above) is now available to order from Peugeot Dealerships nationwide ahead of its arrival in showrooms this December. Retailing from €18,990, plus dealer delivery, the new Peugeot 308 features reduced weight, shorter overhangs, a lower centre of gravity and electric power steering, together with new weight-saving suspension components.

The new 308 range has three trim levels; Access, Active and Allure. For more check out Peugeot.ie.

The entry level Access retails from €18,990 plus delivery; the Active model retails from €22,990 plus delivery; and the Allure retails from €24,490 plus delivery.

From launch the new 308 will be available with three petrol and HDi diesel engines, including the 1.6-litre HDi 92bhp, which has CO2 emissions of 95g/km. In Spring 2014, the new 308 will receive  an innovative three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine, a 1.2-litre e-THP with a choice of 110 or 130bhp. Also available in 2014 will be BlueHDi models, including a segment-leading engine with emissions of just 82g/km, plus the next generation six-speed automatic gearboxes.
