It’s been a fairly interesting week in the motoring world as Citroen, Ford and VW have all released images of their latest offerings, while we also got a sneak peak at what the new Audi TT will look like when revealed at the Geneva Motor Show.

Ford unveil the new Focus ahead of Geneva

Images of the all-new Ford Focus leaked online over the weekend, so instead of letting the leaked images fester for much longer, the lads at Ford decided to just go ahead and release the official pics. Debuting today at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, the new car looks quite nice in the images above and we really like the Aston Martin-style grille, but we’ll have to wait until the Geneva Motor Show to actually see the car in the flesh.

Audi tease the all-new TT

Audi have also teased some concept art of their all-new 3rd generation of the Audi TT and while the drawings make the car look a little meaner and more agile than the last model, it still looks remarkably similar to the previous generations. However, as we said above, it’s only some concept art, so like the Ford Focus we’ll be looking forward to seeing the car at the Geneva Motor Show.

Volkswagen adds an ‘E’ to the Golf ‘GT’ line up

Volkswagen have premiered the all-new Golf GTE (a hybrid GTI) ahead of Geneva and if you’re a fan of the GTI/GTD range then you’re sure to be interested in the GTE. The new Golf GTE is driven by two engines: one 110 kW/150 PS turbo direct fuel injection engine (1.4 TSI petrol) and one electric motor with an output of 75 kW/102 PS.

These two engines combine to provide 50kW/204PS. If the electric motor is the sole source for propulsive power, the Golf GTE is capable of speeds of up to 130 km/h. When the full power of the TSI is used the GTE can reach 100 km/h in 7.6 seconds and, according to Volkswagen, a top speed of 217 km/h – which is pretty impressive. The Golf GTE is set to arrive at dealers in the first markets worldwide in autumn 2014, so keep an eye out for more info then.

Citroen gives us a peak at its all-new city car, the C1

Finally, for this week’s Monday Motors, we take a look at the all-new city car from Citroen called the C1. Like some of the cars mentioned above, the C1 will make its official debut at the Geneva Motor Show in two weeks time. The latest version of Citroën’s city car is available in both three and five-door versions, as well as a new open-top body style called Airscape.
