If you fancy yourself as a bit of a Rory McIlroy, there's plenty of high quality courses like Fota Island, Ballybunion, Lahinch, Adare Manor, Portmarnock and the K-Club but if you're only starting out (a hacker) like JOE, there are plenty of nine-hole courses dotted around the place.
JOE likes to stay away from open flames but usually the man of the house, the father, will step up to the grill and show us how good he is at cooking meat. God love him, he really loves it and there's nothing better than a few barbecued burgers on a sunny day.
Grab your towel, water, football and suncream, we're Irish lads we need to wear suncream, and head off to your closest beach for the day. We advise picking up some fish and chips on the way home and you'll be sorted.
There's the big ones like Electric Picnic, Longitude and Indiependence but there's loads of smaller local events on as well, you'll find a lot of details here. So get your tent and your sleeping bag, round up a few buddies and head to a festival near you, it's always such good craic.
There's so much to see - the Ring of Kerry, Kinsale, Galway, Bundoran, Giant's Causeway, Guinness Brewery, Newgrange or the sunny South East. Let's all see more of Ireland this summer.
DON’T LET THE BUGS BITE THIS SUMMER IN THE GREAT OUTDOORS
