The one and only Joey Chestnut was crowned as the winner of Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Competition for a tenth time on 4 July having munched down 72 hot dogs in ten minutes. That’s right, 72 hot dogs in 10 minutes. The women’s competition was won by Miki Sudo, who ate 41 hot dogs in 10 minutes. According to the Guardian, competitors are allowed to dip the hot dogs and the hot dog buns in liquid to help ease them down their throats; the video evidence, however, would suggest that there’s very little easing from any of the competitors involved.
