Just Eat have revealed the finalists for this year’s National Takeaway Awards

Maybe your local is one of the best in the entire country…

Just Eat have revealed the nominees for their annual Best Takeaway Awards, with 74 outlets shortlisted across the categories.

Last year’s overall winners, Firehouse Pizza (winner of Best Takeaway and Best Takeaway Pizza) are back to defend their title, while three new categories have been added into the mix: Best Takeaway Sustainability, Best Takeaway Vegan and Best Takeaway Breakfast.

Now, we’re not going to say any one category is more important than another, but some of these awards have once again sprung out and caused several friendship-ending arguments at the JOE desk.

Amanda Roche-Kelly, Managing Director at Just Eat Ireland, said: “The Just Eat National Takeaway Awards has become a highly anticipated date in the industry calendar and we’re proud to give customers the opportunity to support their local takeaway heroes across a multitude of cuisines.”

The public can vote for the favourites up to midnight on Monday 13 January, and the awards ceremony will take place on Tuesday 21 January.
