There’s a keepy-uppy competition in Dublin tomorrow, and the winner will get return flights to Doha

Kate Demolder

We all know at least one person who thinks they’d have this in the bag.

A keepy-uppy competition is kicking off in Dublin on Friday afternoon which will see one lucky winner bag themselves a pair of return flights to Doha.

The competition is being run by Qatar Airways, who will be providing the flights and want to celebrate the World Cup by getting people to show off their skills and relive their childhood by keeping the ball off the ground for as long as possible.

The event kicks off on South King Street, Dublin 2 from 11.30am on Friday, 29 June, where Qatar Airways staff will be encouraging people to give it a lash. The winner of the pair of return flights from Dublin to Doha will be whoever “keeps up the ball for the longest time by soloing unhanded”.

People who are keen to get involved have between 11.30am and 3.30pm to get down to South King Street, where stewards will be waiting to see you show off some skills that Samba Soccer would be proud of.
