If you’re a Killian or a Kilian or Cillian or, indeed, a Kylian…

… You’ll be kicking yourself for having missed out on this.

The village of Mullagh in County Cavan set a record this weekend for the largest gathering of Killians/Cillians/etc in one place. RTÉ has reported that no fewer than 327 people with a name derived from Kilian showed up to help set the record.

Mullagh is the birthplace of St. Kilian, the patron saint for sufferers of rheumatism.

Apparently, Caolans and Kelans were also invited to be a part of the festivities, which kind of feels like cheating, but we’re pretty sure that they still had the numbers to set this record either way. People with the last name Killian were also permitted to take part.

RTÉ were on hand to capture the magnificent moment that Mullagh made history.

No sign of Kylian Mbappé though.
