Try. To remain. Calm.
We all remember how this went last time.
About six months ago, donut/doughnut/however you want to spell it gurus Krispy Kreme opened their first Irish store in the Dublin suburb of Blanchardstown… and very promptly, all hell broke loose.
Do you think we’re kidding? We’re not.
We’re really, really not.
Anyways, clearly realising they’re on to a very good thing here, Krispy Kreme are going the way of Five Guys and looking to expand their popular American business model here in Ireland.
Or, more specifically, expand it specifically within in Dublin for now.
The Sunday Business Post (via the Irish Examiner) quotes sources in the commercial property industry who have said that the company is eyeing up new premises in Dublin city centre.
Considering that Dublin city centre is already pretty packed out with some great do(ugh)nut outlets, they will be heading directly into some stiff, delicious competition.
But we’re also sure they can handle it.
The real problem now will be not going there for our break each and every single day…
