It’s definitely not to late to sort all your Christmas shopping!

It only feels like yesterday we were saying it was too early to put up the decorations. All of a sudden, Christmas is a few days away and you suddenly have the realisation:

You forgot the presents…

Have no fear though, as there is still time. We spoke to iconic Dublin department store Arnotts about what you can expect to find in their headquarters in the buildup to Christmas 2019.

To learn more about Christmas in Arnotts, head here.

Personalised selection boxes

Yep, this year you can make your own Cadbury selection boxes. Gone are the days when there is a rush to get the best ones (Fudge, obviously), now you can fill them with whatever your heart desires.

It costs just €8 to add the chocolate bars of your choice, and they’ll be available in-store until Sunday, 22 December.

Personalised socks

Keeping with the trend of things with a personal touch, wouldn’t a pair of socks with your face on them be just the perfect gift for a loved one this Christmas? If you can think of something better than that I’d love to hear it.

For prices starting at €15 in Super Socks, you can add a photo of your choice to a pair of socks. There are more than 300 designs to choose from and it only takes half an hour to add the photo!

FAO Schwarz toys

For the first time ever, iconic American toy makers FAO Schwarz are available in Ireland. Not only will you be able to check out some of the best-made toys on the market, but they also have a delicious selection of exclusive FAO Schweetz in-store as well.

Patrick & Penelope, the FAO Schwarz puppy mascots, will also be there on the day entertaining the kids/grown-ups who love dogs on 21-22 December.

Christmas workshops

Not only would this save you the hassle of trying to figure out what present to get, you’ll also save Santa’s elves some time to boot. Arnotts are hosting Christmas themed workshops this year, and your last chance to try them out is from 20–22 December.

It runs from 11am–4pm, and one of the things you can make is a personalised bauble.

Mrs Claus

Mrs Claus herself will be in the Childrenswear department on Saturday, 21 December from 11am-3pm. She’ll be reading stories and writing letters to Santa, with a high chance of cookies and milk being on offer.

Plus, kids will get to join in on singalongs to get them into the Christmas spirit.

Arnotts Postal Parade

Every day from Saturday to Tuesday (21–24 December), Santa’s elves will be collecting letters to Santa from the store’s mail boxes. Marching through the store in an unmissable brass band, all the little boys and girls will get to see something they will definitely never forget.

Taking place on the hour from 12pm-3pm, be sure to join in the fun and help the elves deliver all the letters to Santa’s Grotto!
