There’s nothing people love more than laughing at the misfortune of other people. That is a scientific fact AND it’s in the Bible. Probably.
The Germans even have a word for it – ‘Schadenfreude’, meaning taking pleasure in the suffering of others.
We Irish also have a word for it – ‘HA!’
Our word has less letters in it sure, but we think people get the idea when we shout it at them after an ostrich runs off with their newly-bought Loop The Loop at the petting zoo. HA!
