Leonardo DiCaprio: the sharp-suited Hollywood leading man

Whether appearing in the recent film Inception or appearing on the red carpet, Leonardo DiCaprio knows how to wear a suit with style.

Christopher Nolan’s recently released dream epic Inception showcases just how visually effective a good suit can be…  and boy can Leonardo DiCaprio wear one.

Now there is no denying that the suits worn came with a hefty price tag and were from the most exclusive tailors, but this is not always necessary.

Even the most expensive suits on the wrong man will fail to work. It is hugely down to fit and the confidence (but not cockiness) of the individual.

Mr DiCaprio, with his slicked-back hair, rises to the occasion every time and exudes a classic Hollywood essence. An avid environmentalist and a damn good actor, age is on his side – he’s getting better year after year. The man simply has substance, a quality, it would seem, that is rare in Hollywood today.

One can avoid having to fork out an arm and a leg in a bid for the perfect suit. There is plenty of high quality suiting available on the high street. It is about knowing your size and going for a style that is right for you. And it is always worth seeking the advice of the in-store assistant.

Be careful not to get caught up in ‘trends’ as you risk your investment dating.

Once you find the right suit, you’ll be able to rely on it again and again. Rejuvenating it each time by alternating occasion-appropriate accessories, for example a broader tie and crisp white shirt for an interview, a coloured shirt or tie for a wedding, cuff links, or even details such as how much or little facial hair – whatever your preference, a good suit is a staple for every mans wardrobe.

There really is something about a man in a good suit.
