Go-karting really is some of the most fun you’ll ever have on four wheels and thankfully, there are plenty of karting tracks around Ireland that cater to all groups.
Now, one of the first things that might come to mind when you think of karting is the fact that most tracks are situated outside and let’s face it, Ireland isn’t known for it’s good weather.
However, that shouldn’t discourage you from taking a trip to the track as there are a good few indoor tracks around Ireland that eliminate the possibility of harsh conditions – having said that, there’s nothing better than sliding around a wet karting track!
Karting is also a great way to release any pent up need for driving fast. If you’re the type of person who has a need for speed then going to the track regularly might be a good idea. Better to keep your speeding to the racetrack rather than the roads, right?
Most karting tracks around the country cater to juniors aged from 7 to 8 years and up, so it’s the perfect activity to do with your kids, for a fun day out or for their birthday, and it’s a great way to introduce them to driving at a young age.
Some of the best-known karting tracks in the country include Kart City beside Dublin Airport and Kylemore Karting located in Dublin 10, but there are tracks right across the country meaning petrol heads and casual karting fans alike are never far from a track.
