Don’t get caught out.
Lidl Ireland took to social media on Wednesday night to inform their customers of a scam taking place across the country in the run up to Christmas.
The scam, which involves a text message, has been catching people out for the past number of days.
It appears to involve a fake competition that people are being informed about via text, addressed from Lidl.
Lidl Ireland took to their Twitter account to alert people that they would never send a text to a customer, with regards to a competition or otherwise, and that anything received via text is “most definitely a scam”.
They urged anyone who has concerns regarding suspicious texts which claim to be sent from Lidl to call their Customer Service team on 1800 201 080.
The only offers and competitions we run can be found on our verified social media channels, our app and website. If you have any concerns regarding suspicious texts which claim to be sent from Lidl, please call our Customer Service team on 1800 201080.
