We’ve got some good news and some … well, even better news.
One – someone out there in Ireland is now half a million Euro richer.
Two – nobody actually won the jackpot, so the €8.5 million will now roll over to Wednesday’s draw.
Whoever the winner of the €500,000 is, the ticket was purchased in Limerick, so if you haven’t checked your ticket yet and you bought yours there, then get checking ASAP.
The winning numbers for the Lotto Plus 1 draw were 7, 10, 18, 26, 28, 38 and the bonus was 39.
James Ryan, the store manager of the Centra where the ticket was sold, had this to say (via Limerick Leader):
“We are absolutely thrilled to have sold the winning ticket. There’s a good buzz in the store this morning with locals and customers coming in to check their tickets. I’ve no idea who it could be but we’re excited to find out who the winner is. I say they are smiling this morning, especially after the hurling result yesterday!”
Limerick’s Under 21’s team are through to the All-Ireland Hurling Final, after defeating Galway over the weekend, so it has been a good time all round for Limerickians.
And while we’re super happy for the new half-millionaire out there, we’ll defo be buying our ticket for Wednesday now!
