Recruitment drive begins this week for the 1,000 jobs in Longford’s new ‘forest resort’

The huge €233m resort is due to open in Summer 2019.

Ireland’s first Center Parcs forest resort is set to open in Longford in 2019, and it will cater for up to 2,500 guests and will boast up to 466 Lodges and 30 apartments, designed with families and the environment in mind.

There will be more than 100 indoor and outdoor activities, a luxury spa, a range of restaurants, cafés and shops and the popular Subtropical Swimming Paradise with water rides.

Enterprise Minister Heather Humphries will launch a recruitment information day in the Longford Rugby Club on Friday 12 October from 9.45am to 7pm to kick off the process of filling the roles.

There will be an additional recruitment day on Saturday 13 October from 10am to 4pm, and all those planning to attend are told they do not need to bring CVs or anything of the like.

As per the official statement by Center Parcs on the new jobs:

“Our new Center Parcs Resort will welcome 250,000 guests each year, providing the very best facilities and activities. To transform our vision into a reality, we’re looking for an incredible, unstoppable team of more than 1,000 people. If you’re passionate about delivering excellent service and wowing our guests, take a look at the roles available.”
