For anyone considering buying a home for the first time, we are hosting a uniquely-formatted masterclass.
It’s designed to equip you with key knowledge from housing market professionals and advice from someone who’s recently gone through the process. You will get some brilliant tips and advice on how to take that first step in buying your own home.
Introducing the EBS Mortgage Masterclass, hosted by comedian Eric Lalor and featuring the perfect selection of expert guests on our studio couch.
The event will take place on 1 October from 7pm-8pm and the panel includes:
- Ronan Lyons, Economist, Trinity College Dublin, who will be sharing his wisdom on the current housing market, urban economics, and the importance of location – which now more than ever takes centre stage.
- TV host and financial planner Eoin McGee, who will be on hand to share his tips on how to improve your financial well-being, to pay attention to the details, and effective ways to save money.
- EBS Mortgage Master Aidan Beirne will go through the steps needed to get mortgage ready.
- Her Head of Content Niamh Maher, who will provide real-life experiences from a recent first-time buyer, what she learned and the tips she can share having gone through the mortgage process.
Financial planner @EoinMcGee explains his '3Ds' approach to bidding on buying a house.

The event will take place online via Zoom Webinar. You can join us via a computer, tablet, or mobile device. Once you’ve reserved your place, we’ll send you full details of how to take part 24 hours prior to the event.
