As if it wasn’t hard enough to be a contestant on a quiz show…

We’ve all imagined ourselves as the contestants in a game show, and how you’d freeze once the host asked a question. The same can certainly be said for anyone taking part in the Ice Bath Quiz, as all of them have to sit in an ice cold bath whilst answering questions.

Oh, and the questions are all being asked by Irish rugby legends Gordon D’Arcy and Jenny Murphy…

After Balbriggan RFC gave it a go last week, Galway club Loughrea RFC was next on our list. Like hundreds of clubs across the country, Loughrea has benefited from the National Lottery’s Good Causes scheme, and has received around €77,000 in funding since 2017.

As you’ll see from the video below, back row player Conor McDonagh gave it a pretty good go. Thanks to Neville Lawless for the images!

Nearly 30 cent in every €1 spent on National Lottery games goes back to Good Causes in communities all over the country. Last year alone more than €228 million in funding was raised by people playing National Lottery games.

All games are strictly for those aged 18 or older. Play responsibly, play for fun.
