Not that there's anything wrong with sticking to your favourite food, but there's no harm in mixing it up when you get the chance. No better time to do it than on a long weekend, and all the better if you serve something that looks a lot more fancy and complicated than it actually is to make (this only takes a few minutes to prep).
The stars of this meal are definitely the piri piri-marinated prawns, which cook in only a matter of minutes. All you need to do is add the ingredients, let them sit in a fridge for while and stick them on a pan.
We've opted for a simple side salad and some sourdough bread, but these prawns would go well with just about anything. Seeing as there's only 6g fat in this meal, you certainly won't have to feel guilty about it either.
Prawns might not be the first thing you go for on your weekly shop, but they are an extremely healthy choice. Packed with tonnes of Omega 3, 100g grams of chicken would contain around twice as many calories as the same amount of prawn.
As well as having a low calorie count, prawns have very little fat and come packed with a lot of protein. If you want to learn more about the benefits of including prawns in your diet, head here.
Whether you want to eat them as a light evening meal or maybe something nice for the Bank Holiday Weekend, this Prawn Piri Piri meal will certainly make yours stand out from the rest!
