rain warning

The west is under attack again.

Met Éireann has issued a status yellow weather warning for three counties: Clare, Galway and Mayo.

The warning forecasts “heavy rain on Tuesday morning and afternoon leading to excess surface water. Accumulations of 20 to 40mm.”

The warning is set to come into effect tomorrow (7 July) at 4am, and will remain in place until at least 4pm tomorrow.

The national forecast isn’t all that much better, with the whole country expecting a day “mostly cloudy with outbreaks of rain, persistent and locally heavy in places.

“Maximum temperatures of 12 to 17 degrees, coolest in the north. Winds mostly light to moderate southeasterly, veering southwesterly, strong on western and southern coasts.”

See ya later, summer.
