Monopoly is coming back to McDonald’s restaurants in Ireland next week

Better yet, there are over two million prizes to be won.

In an age where the smartphone is king and the world of gaming grows more sophisticated by the year, it’s heartening to know that we still get a kick out of classic games like Monopoly.

Which is why you’ll be glad to know that, for the fourth consecutive year, the ultimate prize-winning restaurant game in Ireland, licensed by Hasbro, will return to participating McDonald’s restaurants from next week.

From next Wednesday (20 March), the game will be back for six weeks only and there will be two easy ways to play:

  1. Instant Win: Peel and reveal one of millions of prizes up for grabs instantly
  2. Collect to Win: Collect and complete property sets to win amazing prizes e.g. collecting all three green properties (Grafton Street, Wicklow Street and George’s Street) wins €5,000 in cash

This year, McDonald’s has over two million prizes available to win across Instant Win and Collect to Win, including €10,000 cash prizes, €5,000 cash prizes, ‘loveholidays’ vouchers, games consoles, food and drink prizes, and much more.

This year also sees the introduction of Extra Value Meals as a Collect To Win prize, with customers having to collect the two brown property game pieces (Crumlin and Kimmage) in order to win, ensuring customers receive the same opportunity to win regardless of their order.

For the first time, customers will receive choice with Instant Win food prizes to include healthier items such as the Big Flavour Wrap.

Participants must be aged 16 or over; full rules for the Monopoly at McDonald’s game are available here.
