New iPhone feature might be costing you a fortune in data but here's how to stop it
Does your iPhone data seem to be running out quicker than usual? Well it turns out you're not being paranoid.
If you've downloaded the latest software update (or if you've bought the new iPhone 6S or 6S Plus), then a new feature could be eating into your allowance without you noticing - but don't worry, it's easy to turn it off.
The 'Wi-Fi' assist function will start using 3G or 4G whenever Wi-Fi connectivity is poor - great for ensuring Spotify or Netflix doesn't cut out when you're streaming, but bad for those of us who don't like going over our data cap.
Check out our step-by-step slideshow to find out how to switch it off.
Scroll right down to the bottom, where you'll find 'Wi-Fi Assist'
Flick the switch and that's it.
