We’ve just found our new favourite luxury vehicle…
Armoured Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG Limousine
Okay, so first and foremost we’re (probably) never going to see this bheast rolling down the quays, and, even if we did, we wouldn’t look at whoever was driving it for fear of being ‘whacked’. This is a car fit for a mob boss.
So what exactly is this first-class personnel tank that we’re drooling over? This is the Armoured Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG Limousine, which is normal G63 AMG that’s been heavily modified by Canadian customs company, Inkas.
The Armoured Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG Limousine boasts a first-class cabin interior, satellite TV, a full-sized fridge and enough armour to see you through a small war-zone.
NanoFlowcell Quant F
We wouldn’t be surprised if you haven’t heard of the NanoFlowcell Quant F as it’s a bit of a mystery in the motoring world, even to us petrol-head journos.
Previously we reported on the Quant F’s predecessor, the Quant E-Sports Limo, but it looks as though the car’s maker, NanoFlowcell AG, has decided to push ahead with the newer Quant F.
The Quant F is set to make its debut at next month’s Geneva Motor Show in March, so it will be interesting to see the car on a stand.
Why is this car important? Well according to NanoFlowcell, the Quant F can produce a mind-boggling 1075hp (roughly 1000hp more than your average small family hatchback) and it has a top speed of 186mph.
Did we mention it’s also an electric car? We’ll find out more at Geneva…
Land Rover Discovery Sport
Now that we’ve gotten the weird and wonderful out of our systems, we can turn out attention to some cars that we might actually have a chance of driving in our lifetimes.
First up, the Land Rover Discovery Sport.
The new Disco Sport has just gone on sale here in Ireland starting at €37,100. While the new off-roader is a five-seater, you can get another two seats added to make it a seven-seater.
Another cool feature is the fact that the new Disco Sport comes equipped with several USB ports, so there won’t be any arguments over who gets to charge their phone first.
BMW 2-Series GT
There’s a new Bimmer on the block in the form of a people carrier. Like the Discover Sport, you can kit the new 2-Series GT out with seven seats and it features buckets of room for those inside.
The 2-Series GT has been designed with families in mind and it’s set to feature loads of storage space and optional entertainment extras to keep rear seat passengers happy in the back, such as a tablet cradle that can be mounted to the back of the front headrest and even an optional wireless hotspot connection.
How cool is that?
Volkswagen Caddy Van
While the VW Caddy might not have the same sex appeal as a Ferrari or an armour plated Mercedes G63 AMG (all except this particular VW Caddy), it is a workhorse for many in the Irish workforce.
With that in mind, we wanted to show you what the new Caddy looks like, as you’ll probably start seeing plenty of them on the road in the not too distant future.
Prices have yet to be confirmed, but we do know that the new Caddy is expected to arrive in Ireland in September. It looks pretty slick, in fairness.
