This week we say hello to a few new motors and goodbye to an entire brand.
Bentley Hybrid ‘EXP 10 Speed 6’
Bentley’s stunning Hybrid ‘EXP 10 Speed 6’ concept was unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show earlier this month and it shows us where the company’s design traits could be heading in the future.
Now, the EXP 10 Speed 6 is only a concept car, so you won’t be seeing one on Irish roads anytime soon, but it’s undoubtedly one of the more eye-catching concepts to be unveiled at Geneva.
New Jaguar XF
The second generation Jaguar XF is set to be unveiled at a ‘high-wire water crossing’ over the Thames this coming Tuesday (March 24th). Until then, check out the teaser shots below…
The James Bond-esque stunt is sure to bring a lot of attention to the new XF, which is set to take on the likes of the BMW 5-Series, Mercedes-Benz E-Class and the Audi A6.
Unfortunately, no word of a price just yet, or when we can expect to see the motor in showrooms, but we’re sure we’ll find out more next Tuesday. Petrol heads might want to make a note of that in the calendars now…
Chrysler me a river
Are you a fan of big bheastly American motors? Then we’ve got some bad news for you. Chrysler will be withdrawn from sale here in Ireland and most of Europe soon enough.
Apparently, Chrysler’s parent company, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, has decided to focus on the group’s other brand, Jeep, here in Europe, as the larger American motors have failed to gain a following.
So you can say goodbye to the likes of the massive 300C (pictured) and the seven-seater Gran Voyager.
Renault Twingo
The funky Renault Twingo recently bagged itself the title of “Best Answer to the City Car Dilemma” at the 2015 GQ Car Awards.
The All-New Twingo went on sale in Ireland in September 2014 winning critical praise for its charm, looks, clever packaging and innovative rear-engined, rear-wheel-drive layout.
The Twingo, now in its third generation, is available with a choice of two efficient petrol engines, three trim levels, including many personalisation options and is priced from €13,990.
Suzuki iK-2
Feast your eyes on the latest C-Segment car from Japanese manufacturer, Suzuki, called the iK-2. Unveiled at Geneva, a variant of the iK-2 concept is expected to land in Ireland sometime in early 2016.
Suzuki says the innovative construction of the iK-2 will help improve safety, efficiency, handling, stability, and fuel economy. The iK-2 will also feature the company’s new efficient 1L direct-injection turbo Boosterjet engine. So it will be small, but powerful…
We can’t wait to see it in the flesh.
