A fantastic initiative.
If you like your coffee, then chances are one of your favourite parts about it is when you go to the places that give you a free little biscotti on the side.
Because biscottis (or is the plural of biscotti… biscotti? We’ll look into that…) are yum and are to be loved.
Anyways, in a move of delicious world-saving innovation, a New Zealand airline are testing edible coffee cups, so you get to drink your coffee, and then the cup itself is made entirely out of biscotti!
What. A. Time. To. Be. Alive!
Air New Zealand customer experience manager Niki Chave told the NZ Herald that “We’ve been working in partnership with innovative New Zealand company ‘twiice’ to explore the future of edible coffee cups, which are vanilla flavoured and leakproof. The cups have been a big hit with the customers who have used these and we’ve also been using the cups as dessert bowls.”
Twiice co-founder Jamie Cashmore added: “It’s terrific that Air New Zealand has partnered with us to showcase to its customers and the world that a little bit of Kiwi ingenuity and innovation could have a really positive impact on the environment while at the same time delivering a really cool and tasty customer experience.”
We're always looking for ways to reduce waste on board, so we're trialing an edible biscotti coffee cup from twiice 🍪 Who's eating their cup once they've finished what's inside? ☕️ #AirNZSusty pic.twitter.com/SFgL16dDLC
