Officially the quickest! 9 World Records you could probably beat

JOE

You know when somebody says “that’s not as easy as it looks”? Well, sometimes they’re wrong.

To celebrate Virgin Media being crowned the Fastest Broadband Network in Ireland, we’ve decided to look at 9 speed related records you could probably break.

Let’s get right to it.

The fastest time to arrange a chess set

Surely, this one could easily be done with enough practice… surely.

There are several rules you need to follow, but that’s only a small obstacle on your journey to taking Serbian, Dalibor Jablanovic’s record.

Fastest time to peel and eat three oranges

Orange you glad you’ve read this article?

You can now try and defeat American Ashrita Furman’s record of 9.72 seconds.

Most eggs cracked in one minute with one hand

American Ross McCurdy cracked 32 eggs in one minute.

We think our eggceptional skills would lead to us easily beating that record.

Fastest time to blow up a balloon until it pops

Really, how hard can this be?

The hardest thing about breaking the record of 13.62 seconds would be getting slapped in the face by the broken balloon.

Fastest window cleaner

To break Terry Burrows record, you’d need to clean a window in 9.14 seconds.

If you’d like to practice, feel free to call around to ours.

Most toilet seats broken by the head in one minute

Kevin Shelley’s record of 46 toilet seats broken in a minute seems fairly uncomplicated.

That being said, you probably shouldn’t try this one, or at least make sure you clean them first if you do.

The fastest toilet

Speaking of toilets, there is also a record for the quickest loo.

It’s currently held by Edd China and the record is 68km.

Surely the toilets on aeroplane’s are moving quicker. Point this out and maybe you can hold the record.

Fastest couch

Maybe your sofa is quicker than your loo.

If so, you can compete with Glenn Suter from Australia for the record.

His couch achieved a speed of 163.117 km/h (101.36 mph). Pretty epic.

Fastest sack race over one mile

This is also held by American Ashrita Furman. He managed to hop the mile in 16 minutes and 41 seconds. You could totally do that!
