Here’s how you can get your hands on €0.01 ice cream for the whole weekend

We're all for this.

JOE

Now, all we need is the good weather.

It’s Friday, the weekend is nearly upon us and as we wait to see if the good weather will join us for a weekend of fun, we’ve just been given some great news regarding ice cream.

AIB is launching Apple Pay and to celebrate their big launch, they are giving away €0.01 ice creams from their Apple Pay ice cream trucks.

This will be happening in various locations over the weekend as the truck hits Dublin, Cork and Galway giving away the cheap ice creams to customers using Apple Pay on their eligible Apple device.

It will run from Friday, 28 July until Sunday 30, July and the trucks will even make an appearance at Croke Park for the jam packed day of football on Sunday as Mayo and Roscommon and Kerry and Galway face off in their respective All-Ireland Quarter Finals.

Apple Pay works with AIB Debit and Personal Credit Cards everywhere contactless payments are accepted and is easy to set up.

AIB Head of Brand and Proposition, Brian Keating commented, “The introduction of Apple Pay is a part of AIB’s ongoing commitment to offering our customers new and convenient ways to pay.

“By bringing a fleet of cashless ice cream trucks around the country, we are giving our customers a fun and delicious opportunity to embrace digital payment solutions.”

Here’s where you can find yourself those almost free ice creams…
