Great series are a lot like relationships.
When you first meet, you want to spend all your time indulging in their presence.
Your friends think you neglect them and when it’s over, you’ve a gaping hole in your life… until the next series/partner comes along.
You may get burned but you’ll keep on coming back for more, because when you find the right one, it’s worth it.
That’s why we love UPC’s My Prime. It’s a fantastic on-demand service which has more great box sets than you shake a stick at.
Here’s five of our favourites from this service.
Serangoon Road
Don Hany, Joan Chen, Maeve Dermody
This little known HBO nugget is a fantastic detective-noir series which is set against the backdrop of 1960’s Singapore. It has been winning awards for fun in Australia and Asia and is sure to grab a cult following in this part of the world too.

This now infamous series got a stranglehold on a whole nation. Go back to the start to see where it all began for these smooth criminals.

If you’re in the mood for something a tad lighter, then Castle might be the show for you. Lord of the nerds, Nathon Fillion, plays a writer who is being used to solve murders. Yes, it is as fun as it sounds.
