Late Late Show Valentine

Valentine’s Day is about one thing: the Late Late Show Valentine’s Day Special.

Every year, a rowdy live studio audience gathers in Montrose and watched Ryan Tubridy do his best to stay in control of the horny chaos.

This year will be no different, although there are a few unique elements to this year’s carnival of debauchery.

Let’s start with the best: ROMANCE ADVICE FROM PAT SPILLANE OF THE SUNDAY GAME. Spillane will be joined by Sharon Higgins to provide Agony OAP life advice to lovesick millennials. Believe that we’ll be tuning in for that alone.

The music will also fit the mood very well, as Ryan Tubridy is set to be joined by Wet Wet Wet frontman Marti Pellow, the voice behind iconic love songs including ‘Love Is All Around’ and ‘Julia Says’. He’ll be performing as well as helping Tubs pair up people in the audience, which sounds like delicious agony.

More music will be provided by Chesney Hawkes. Chesney Hawkes of “I am the one and only” song. So.

And of course, the beloved three-chair challenge, where audience members try to find love through Blind Date style questions, will make its return, guaranteeing a lifetime of love for the pair who win.

If you’re happily paired up or a lonely loser, you can catch this on you couch, on RTÉ One, Friday February 14/20/20 at 09.35pm.
