Many voices on social media have expressed their profound disappointment that graffiti artist Maser’s Repeal the 8th tag on the side of Temple Bar’s Project Arts Centre.
Project Arts Centre released a statement today detailing their decision to remove the mural “after receiving a warning notice from Dublin City Council Planning Department that the work is in violation of the Planning & Development Acts.”

Advocates of the Repeal the 8th movement have vocally condemned the notice by Dublin City Council on Twitter, suggesting that the true reason behind its removal is its political message rather than issues around planning permission.

Listen, we can't all be Maser but there are a lot of walls out there, and paintbrushes are easy to come by.
