Perhaps getting a wolf to look after his sheep was not this farmer’s wisest decision

A Polish farmer though it would make his life easier to get a ‘puppy’ to look after his flock of sheep. The fact that it was a young wolf was a slight flaw in the plan.

A Polish farmer though it would make his life easier to get a ‘puppy’ to look after his flock of sheep. The fact that it was a young wolf was a slight flaw in the plan.

The Metro reported that Zbigniew Pieczyk only realised his mistake when the young wolf was howling all night, but luckily for him, none of the flock were injured or killed.

“I thought it was a sheepdog pup or a German shepherd,” the sheepish farmer explained.

“Then when it started to howl every night I realised I’d made one hell of a mistake and I called the police.” So the howling on the first night wasn’t a giveaway then?

The animal is to be returned into the wild, but if ever there was a case of the boy who cried wolf…
