The best man is a role that is fraught with danger…
Once you take on the honour of the title, you’re responsible with throwing the best damn stag party in the history of drunkenness, and you’re also expected to deliver a speech that’s funny (but not too funny) and emotional (but not sappy).
One of the easier tasks on the best man’s shoulders, however, is simply no to step on any part of the bride’s dress.
This photo, taken by Mary Hyland in Gorey, Wexford, captures the wonderful moment that the best man (who just so happened to be the groom’s twin brother) stepped on the bride’s train, yanking her back by the head, as the newlyweds walked down the aisle.
Do you mind if we get a closer look at that?
Glorious. Luckily nobody was injured in the unfortunate accident and the happy couple are laughing about it now.
