People walking along the quays in Cork city over the weekend might have thought they stumbled onto the set of the new James Bond film.
No, Daniel Craig wasn’t on Leeside, but a boat that wouldn’t look out of place in a 007 movie was launched on the water for the first time.

The boat is actually an incredibly advanced piece of technology and is worth more than one million euro.
According to the Irish Examiner, the makers are Safehaven Marine, who are based in Cobh, and they’ve designed this to break into the military market.
The boat has remote-controlled and fully retractable rapid-fire machine-gun and is powered by a pair of 575-horsepower Caterpillar diesel engines.
We’d love a go on that.
