Talk about timing.
Following a day of glorious sunshine over O’Connell Street, the showers came at the very end of the today’s ceremony to mark 100 years since the Easter Rising.
The umbrellas came up as people filtered away from the city’s main thoroughfare, with the RTÉ cameras capturing this rainbow to bookend perfectly a momentous moment in our history.
Very special indeed.
