A positive message.
Trainwreck star Amy Schumer has quickly become one of the biggest names in comedy and it seems that she’s incredibly comfortable in her own skin…and showing it off.
Like all comedians, Schumer has always looked to challenge social taboos and break conventions, which is fitting given the subject matter and tonal shift in the annual calendar produced by Pirelli tyres.
You may know that their previous calendars focused primarily on the artfully lit bodies of female supermodels but they’ve pursued a new subject matter this year and it’s being praised for encouraging a positive body image.
World famous photographer Annie Leibovitz was behind the lens and she took pictures of a variety of women including Serena Williams, Yoko Ono and Patti Smith, to name just a few.
It was Schumer though that grabbed most of the headlines, mainly because of her efforts to promote a healthy body image along with her message on Twitter which aims to promote a healthy belief that people should be comfortable in their own skin, regardless of what people might say or think.

Here’s a small glimpse at what some people had to say on Schumer’s honest and progressive shoot.
Amy Schumer is the goal.
