PIC: Dublin woman finds a packet of Tayto from the era of shillings in her house

Carl Kinsella

This pack of Tayto will take some people right back.

And when we say some people, we mean people who can remember as far back as 1971, before the Decimal Currency was introduced.

On the other hand, the younger crisp-aficionados among our readers will be entirely unable to relate to a time when a bag of Tayto cost no more than four, that’s right, four pence.

Rebecca Good, from Dublin, found this bag of Tayto in her house while renovating, and we must say that Mr. Tayto has aged very well.
