Following in the footsteps of similar recent ventures elsewhere, Dundalk’s first ever crisp sandwich bar and deli, Crispie Bites, opens in the Louth town today.
Judging by Irish people’s love of all things crisp sandwich and the success of the aforementioned crisp shops in these parts, it promises to bring plenty of crispy goodness to the people of Dundalk in the future.
Obviously, the opening of a specialised crisp shop in your own town is kind of a big deal and a few Dundalk natives celebrated the news with a lengthy and brilliant WhatsApp conversation that is positively laden with great crisp puns.
The lads involved in the conversation wished to remain anonymous, but we can inform you that they are all between the ages of 27 and 30 and that some of them are currently exiled in the USA and Canada.
