Pic: Ever cheated in an exam? It’s not as bad as the blatant cheating on display here

You wouldn't get away with this in the Leaving Cert

You wouldn’t get away with this in the Leaving Cert

We all have a friend who claims that they’ve once resorted to cheating during an exam and that the ends justify the means.

The rules are only broken in those unlikely events when they’re ‘unprepared’ or didn’t have ‘enough time’ to remember everything.

Sure, we believe you.

We hear that having notes hidden up sleeves, paper sellotaped to the bottom of pencil cases and answers scrolled on your arms are all crafty methods.

JOE has never done any of these of course.

*Cough, cough”.

These tactics pale in comparison though to some of the students in the Indian state of Bihar though as seen in these photos.

Take a look at some of these students actually smuggling books and notes into their exam halls despite tight security. You wouldn’t be able to do that in your Junior or Leaving Cert.

If that wasn’t enough proof then here’s the friends and parents of these students actively scaling the walls and passing answers through the windows.

This region in India will play host to almost 1.4 million students taking their tests, which represents a much harder job than any Irish invigilators will ever have to deal with, but this is incredible.

While we can understand the pressure that’s placed upon getting good grades to improve a persons quality of life, the sheer brazen nature of this would put any person looking for a quick answer on the Leaving Cert to shame.

According to the BBC, the authorities seized sheets containing answers which filled up nine bin bags.

That’s a lot of notes.
