PIC: How a Westmeath postman managed to deliver this package is beyond us

Paul Moore

Shane MacGowan, this package and a postman.

Ireland is a very small country and the majority of us will know our nearby neighbours but there’s still no excuse for making the lives of our postmen and women a million times harder.

You may remember the story about a letter that was somehow delivered to a house in Carndonagh, County Donegal despite the lack of a name, address or county but we’ve a new contender for the crown of most ‘uniquely Irish’ mail.

JOE reader Michael Cronin is a talented local musician and he has nothing but praise for his postman because this package somehow managed to make it to his door.

Who needs Eircode or an address when you have a claim to fame like this one.
