PIC: Leaving Cert student celebrates completing English paper with appropriate tattoo

Conor Heneghan

Safe to say this fella will never forget his Leaving Cert English exam for the rest of his life.

With three days of the Leaving Cert exams now done and dusted, thousands of students (apart from repeat students or those who go on to study the subject in university) will never have to worry about studying English again.

It’s a huge relief to have one of the core subjects out of the way and one student decided to celebrate in a manner that’s unorthodox at best.

Word has it that many Leaving Cert students were hoping that Paul Durcan would appear as one of the poets on the English Paper 2 and when he did, a man known only as Sully marked it by getting a tattoo with Durcan’s name on it in a place where the sun don’t shine.

The following was spotted on the Leaving Cert Twitter account, @LeavingCert16

Sully won’t forget Durcan’s name in a hurry; in fact, considering where he was inked, he’ll probably be thinking of him every time he sits down to complete an exam for the rest of the Leaving Cert.

Cheers to the girls at Her.ie for their help with this one.
