Sometimes getting creative in the kitchen can really pay off.
A restaurant in Coolcollid, Co. Monaghan has gotten our interest this evening with a particularly delicious proposal: BBQ Buckfast Ribs.
BBQ Ribs are a tasty enough proposition on their own, but once you throw the iconic fortified wine into the mix, you’ve got yourself a very eye-catching meal indeed.
It’s not bad value either, with a full-rack clocking in at €14 and a half-rack for €8. Less than a bottle of Buckfast anyway, that’s for sure.
Whether the ribs themselves can leave you in the same state as Bucky well… That probably depends on how many of them you eat.
In a post on their official Instagram page, Blasta Street Kitchen has written: “You Heard it here first!! Introducing Blasta BBQ Buckfast Ribs. These bad boys are Slow cooked. Then smothered in a blend of their natural Juices, our house BBQ sauce & a dash of Buckfast. Now that’s a Real Taste of Monaghan Right there. At Blasta HQ Friday & Saturday 11-3pm. Half Rack €8. Full Rack €14. Served with Mexican Rice & nachos.”
