PIC: More Irish workplaces should be like this Donegal coffee shop when we get fine weather

Conor Heneghan

Weather forecast

Damn right.

Spoiled by the good weather that belatedly arrived on Sunday, many of you working indoors no doubt looked longingly at the fine weather that decided to hang around for most of Monday.

So rare are such fine days that we’ve long thought that some sort of emergency legislation should be brought in that allows us all at least a few hours out in the sun on a fine day.

Something, perhaps, for the new cabinet to take into account.

That, unfortunately, is never likely to happen, but we do wish that more workplaces would follow the lead of the Lily Rose and Sandwich Bar and Coffee Shop in Buncrana in Donegal, where the following notice was placed on a window this afternoon.

Enjoy it while it lasts, folks, it’ll be miserable for long enough.

Cheers to Jade Doherty for sending this our way. Got a story for JOE? Hit us up on Facebook or Twitter, send it to our WhatsApp number 087-4001102 or mail [email protected].
