You can come out from behind the couch now.
With everything that’s going on in the world right now, there’s probably a lot more to be fearful about than a few scary clowns that have been popping up, particularly in the US.
There have been a number of arrests for clown-related incidents in America in recent weeks, while hundreds of students from Penn State University went on a very public scary clown hunt after reports that one was spotted on campus earlier this week.
The fear over said scary clowns has been exacerbated by the Clown Sightings Twitter account, which posts pictures and footage of reported clown sightings from locations around the globe.
While most of the sightings are in the United States, followers of the account in Cork will have been sparked into panic by the following post on Wednesday evening.

If you were a little bit sceptical about the picture in the tweet then you were right to be, because wherever the picture is purported to have been taken in Cork looks a lot like Texas State University or whatever random location it may have been snapped in the first place.

People of Cork, you can rest easy… for now, at least.
