And the bells are ringing out… for a new set of teeth.
The man behind one of the most beloved Christmas songs of all-time has changed the most recognisable thing about him.
As reported by the Independent, MacGowan underwent a nine hour procedure to get 28 new teeth and a titanium frame fitted.

It was all part of the documentary, Shane MacGowan: A Wreck Reborn and the dental surgeon who performed the mammoth reconstructive session, Dr. Darragh Mulrooney, spoke of how the procedure could positively impact on the singer’s career.
“Shane recorded most of his great works when he had some teeth to work with,” Dr Mulrooney says.
“The question on everyone’s lips is how it will affect his voice. The tongue is a finely attuned muscle and it makes precise movements.
“We’ve effectively retuned his instrument and that will be an ongoing process.”
We hope it works so that he can get back to singing his classics.
