PIC: Someone took the ‘green tea’ option far too literally in this Limerick cafe

Alan Loughnane

Face, meet palm…

Just last week, The Green Party called for the legalisation of the medicinal use of cannabis and the decriminalising of drug use.

But these plans are a long way short of having the necessary support to push them through as legislation, although the Scottish are some way closer in this regard.

The Stormy Teacup in Limerick has been referred to in the past as “Limerick’s little treasure” and indeed with a 4.5/5 rating on TripAdvisor, it’s definitely worth calling into if you’re out and about in The Treaty City.

One guest wrote the following review of the cafe online…

“The first thing which strikes you as you approach The Stormy Teacup is the character, this café is full of it! The staff are friendly and the coffee is A++. Space is limited upstairs which means at busy times you might end up sharing a couch with someone. This I find to be an endearing quality of The Stormy Teacup.”

But it wasn’t their choice of beverages which brought The Stormy Teacup to our attention today, but rather their post on social media about an item that was left behind by one of their customers.

In their words, “we have 6 different green teas here at Stormy – no need to bring your own”.
