Pic: Teen’s first driving lesson ends with car flipped onto roof

Maybe this US learner should stick with public transport for a bit longer.

Look, we all remember our first driving lesson, a nerve-wracking experience that you wouldn't wish on your worst enemy. But, at the end of it, you felt a lot better, more confident and, eventually, you learned how to drive. We have our doubts that the learner who did this will ever get behind the wheel again, let alone end up with a licence one day. Posted on Twitter by Waltham police from Massachussets, it shows how the first lesson this driver took went a lot worse than yours.

According to a witness, the car hit a tree and the wheels then went up the tree, causing the car to flip onto its roof. Luckily no real harm was done to either the driver or the instructor, but we suspect they might leave it quite a while before heading out again.
